Aug  5,  2006.. The Edgebrook fest was a huge success. Anaconda fans showed up in droves. Myron & Phil's ribs were sold out & Moher sold out of fish & chips. Beer sales were brisk. Thanks to all Pat Lyons Band, Anaconda, Velvet Cadilacs, Parvin & Morgan fans that showed up all weekend. Next year will even be bigger & better!

July  21,  2006.. Edgebrook fest features Pat Lyons Band Sat.  Aug 5th at 8:00 anf ANACONDA from 9:00 til10:00 . Pat Lyons Band plays Sunday from 6:00 to 7:00. We're looking forward to another fun neighborhood fest!! 

April 11,  2006..   Smelt fishing April 29th at Montrose harbor. Annual event is always fun. Hopefully the weather is good. See ya there.

e will be playing Edgebrook fest Aug. 5 & 6 with special guests Anaconda. This will be Anaconda's 1st public performance since 1984. Pass the word!. 

March 05,  2006..  Played for Pat's Birthday party last night along with a reunion performance of ANACONDA, Pats band from 1980 to 1984. Everyone had a gas.

Februar 02,  2006..  While continuing to work on new material, we had a chance to jam with original Anaconda members recently. The magic is still there.!!

December 23,  2005..  Merry Christmas & happy holidays to everyone from PLB. We hope you get lots of music but more important White Sox stuff!!. I forgot to congratulate the White Sox for winning the 2005 World Series. I'm still in shock...but lovin every minute of it.

December,  2005..  We are trying to upgrade the quality of the mp3's on the disc page, so far Everybody does & Always good for a spill are upgraded. Click Contact Us  & tell me how it sounds so I can do more. These MP3's will sound better when downloaded. 

FALL  2005..  We've been busy individually this fall. I played harp at a few gigs with "Uncommitted" which is the new name of Parvin, Sylvia & Wendy's group which now includes Tony on bass as well.  We are busy on new music production and will plan a gig or two shortly.

August 7, 2005..  We will be returning to original music production this week with no gigs on the calendar for a bit.

August 7, 2005..  We rocked the Edgebrook Summerfest this weekend. The fest was the first of it's kind in our neighborhood & will not be the last. Great food & drink & music. Parvin & her vocal crew Sylvia & Wendy sounded like angels singing three part harmonies in our opening sets. 

April 30, 2005..  We will be playing  at the Taste of Edgebrook August 5 &  6.. Hope to see ya there. 

April 18, 2005..  Zero Smelts??? again.....Oh well we partied at the Diversey Yacht Club where friends of ours have played recently and had Margaritas with the Mariachi's. (Smelt are a species of small fish in Lake Michigan...Smelt fishing parties are an annual April event in Chicago) We are Playing at Delisi's Sat. May 14 special guests "The Catholic Girls" will start the party at 8:00 & PLB at 9:00pm. See Ya There.

April 08, 2005..  Well it's smelt fishing season! We are so pumped! The spring event of the year, not for the band but for the SMELT which has eluded the true smelters for 20 years. My theory is the Salmon which are stocked eat the lower food chain (ie: the ailwife, smelt perch, blue gill, bass) your thoughts?? hit contact us

March 20, 2005... Dan the drummer is also a talented song writer. We love the new stuff & can't wait to play them out. We now have ten songs in the rehearsal rotation & will add five more before year end. All 3 band members  are contributing quality material....& labor!  We Love it! 

February 20, 2005... We had a blast at the Ramada O'Hare last weekend playing for the Illinois Blind Vendors Committee. They raised a lot of money for the cause & the bands all rocked. Back to working on new material this week.

January 20, 2005... We have been working on new material. Over the holidays I reviewed recordings of  PLB rehearsals  from 2004 and gleaned 36 tracks of original material. At each rehearsal we do improv. jams which is always fun. At last weeks rehearsal we began rehearsing the first 5 jams of the next CD project. Our goal is to have the jams arranged & tight by 12/31/05 & begin recording on the new CD.  

January 12, 2005... We are playing a benefit for Illinois Blind Vendors at the Radison O' Hare Hotel on Sat Feb.12 click on Calendar.

December 23, 2004... Merry Christmas & happy new year to all. We have all the shopping done & ready for a productive 2005.

December 3, 2004... We are done with 2004 gigs. We are looking for opportunities to play for new fans. So contact us for 2005.

November 28, 2004...We played at DeLisi's (that's right, Pizzeria) last night and had a great time!!. I loved the live karaoke during the last set!! Thanks to Dan for  the house of the risin sun, Greg for Still the night & all for sweet home Alabama!! Thanks to Gman for  the photo's which will be posted shortly.

October 28, 2004..  The Elbo room was rockin last night. Special thanks to the soundman Will and to Greg Roberts for photo's. 

October 23, 2004..  The CD release party was a huge success!!!!  We rocked our socks off.  Thanks to all the fans that came to party. The Danz man was there. All the people from Admiral Tool. All the people from the neighborhood. Special thanks to Ryan the sound man for a kick ass job. 

October 20, 2004..   COME OUT FRIDAY 10 22  TO HIDEOUT **CD RELEASE PARTY.....  The band is well rehearsed & ready to deliver!!!!

October 7, 2004.....We have sent out a couple of hundred invites for the October gigs & and submitted CD's & promo material to The Reader, The Illinois Entertainer, The Onion, The Pioneer Press (Edgebrook-Sauganash Times/Review, New City & UR Chicago. We should have good crowds at these gigs & hopefully some favorable press.

August 2, 2004.....Elbo room gives us a gig opportunity on Thursday Oct 28. See "Calendar" page. Were talking to Hideout about the release party. The Lyons den was sold & the new owner is a European soccer style bar(no music). I'm talking to Abbey Pub, Shuba's, Fitzgeralds, Martyrs, Gunther Murphys, Durty Nellies,Nevins, Metro & I'm not done. The push is on to Market the product. so tell your friends.

July 02, 2004......1000 CD's are delivered. Now we need a release party place & date & to line up some gigs. 

May 28, 2004......The CD is done!!!! email your orders in!!! The product is all going to press next week & we should have availability by mid June. We'll definately have a CD release party or two in August so check the site for updates. I feel like the weight has been lifted. This is a huge project for a band with day jobs but we loved every minute.
